I like Häagen-Dazs, even though it’s a made up name (no umlauts in Danish, and “-zs” is  not Danish, either), and is likely made in Tulare or Bakersfield, CA.

I get a lot of coupons for it at my favorite local grocery store (Ralph’s).  I noticed that they were creeping up. Not the prices, the quantities.

For example, I’d by 1 “pint” of Häagen-Dazs and I would get a coupon for 2: “Save $1.50 on any TWO (2) Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream 14oz.” (they also used to be 16oz, but I still like H-D)

Next time, I’d buy 2, and get a coupon for 3: “Save $1.50 on any THREE (3) Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream 14oz.”

The last coupon I got saved me “…$1.50 on any FOUR (4) Häagen-Dazs…”.  I used it today.

Guess what today’s coupon said?

I didn’t know I had a problem.
